The McRib has quietly made its annual return to the McDonald’s menu for the 2022 fall season.
The McRib sandwich starts with a seasoned boneless pork patty dipped in a tangy BBQ sauce and topped with slivered onions and dill pickles, all sandwiched between a toasted homestyle bun.
McDonald’s fan-favorite pork sandwich is back for a limited time only, so get one while you can because this is, according to the fast-food chain, the McRib Farewell Tour.
As part of the Farewell Tour, McDonald’s will be dropping limited-edition throwback McRib merch so diehard fans can keep rocking their favorite sandwich even after it’s gone for good.
The iconic sandwich can be ordered for dine-in, pickup, or delivery through the brand’s mobile app or website.
You can find the McRib at participating McDonald’s locations nationwide through Sunday, November 20, 2022.

Why would they end this item? Doesn’t it sell out pretty quick (sooner than the projected end date each annual promotion is planned for) which must mean it is still a success for McDonald’s.
It’s mainly a marketing strategy based on how exclusive, rare, and seasonal it is. The point of it is not necessarily to make a permanent menu item but to promote the company in general (e.g. this item has gained some cult following over the years by people who’ve had it, and it’s even appeared in Simpsons before).
