Fatburger is now topping its popular Impossible Burger with vegan cheddar cheese.
The new vegan cheese, which is made by Daiya, is currently only available at nine locations in LA.
Fatburger said in a press release that the menu addition acts “as the perfect complement to the chain’s wildly successful vegan-friendly Impossible Burger.”
According to Fatburger, their new “cheddar-cheese-like, dairy-free slice” also works well with their “time-tested, traditional beef” burger.
Originally introduced in 2018, the Impossible Burger quickly became the chain’s best-selling menu item in LA. Soon thereafter, Fatburger became the first fast-food chain to add the Impossible Burger to menus nationwide.
So now Los Angeles Fatburger fans can order a 100% vegan-friendly cheeseburger. Unfortunately, and as mentioned above, the vegan cheese is only available at a few select locations for now. But it may roll out nationally if it proves successful.
My local Fatburger sells the Impossible Burger for $9 as an a la carte option. You can also get it as part of a combo with your choice of fries and a drink for $13.99. Prices may vary.
