Taco Bell explores adding a pair of new spicy chicken options to its menu with a one-week test of new Chile Crisp Chicken Tacos and new Chile Crisp Chicken Strips at a test restaurant in Newport Beach, CA.
The new Chile Crisp Chicken menu items feature a sweet, spicy, and citrusy Chile Crisp Sauce that takes the chicken to new heights by incorporating “bold and innovative ingredients,” such as guajillo, ancho and Anaheim peppers, lime, garlic, and other aromatics.
Priced at $4.99 per two taco order, Taco Bell’s Chile Crisp Chicken Taco comes with a crispy chicken strip tossed in the brand’s new Chile Crisp Sauce and topped with ranch, lettuce, and real shredded cheddar cheese in a warm flour tortilla.
Each order of Chile Crisp Chicken Strips includes three pieces of chicken covered with Chile Crisp Sauce and served with a side for a suggested price of $4.99.
The Chile Crisp Chicken lineup is available for one weekly only (or while supplies last) at the Taco Bell restaurant in Newport Beach, CA (4101 Jamboree Rd, Newport Beach, CA 92660) from now through the end of the week.
hmmm, guajillo and ancho are two different types of peppers with guajillo’s usually slightly spicier and fruitier. I wonder if there should be a comma in between them.
I’d prefer the lime to come in a wedge form so I could leave it off, that would keep me from trying these.
