Chick-fil-A offers their first-ever seasonal spin on the original Chick-fil-A Sandwich with the launch of the new Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich at participating locations nationwide starting Monday, August 28, 2023.
Specially crafted to deliver the perfect combination of sweet, savory and subtly spicy flavors, Chick-fil-A’s Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich comes with an original Chick-fil-A filet topped with a new, custom-made creamy pimento cheese and mild pickled jalapenos sandwiched between a warm, toasted bun drizzled with sweet honey.
According to Chick-fil-A Chef Stuart Tracy, a standout sandwich usually includes the following components: savoriness and meltiness with just the right amount of salt and sweet to balance the flavors. Keeping these elements in mind, Chef Stuart chose three main ingredients to take the original sandwich in a whole new direction:
- Pimento Cheese: Custom-made by the chain itself, the Pimento Cheese consists of a combination of sharp cheddar cheese, green chilis and red pimentos all melding together to create a savory, melty spread that goes well atop the original Chick-fil-A chicken filet.
- Jalapeños: A first in any Chick-fil-A entrée and sourced especially for the new chicken sandwich, the mildly pickled jalapeños deliver the right level of heat to balance out the sweet and salty flavors.
- Honey: The drizzle of sweet and smooth honey on the brand’s warm toasted bun adds a subtly sweet flavor to bring it all home.
The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich can be enjoyed a la carte for a suggested price of $6.79. The spicy and grilled chicken versions are a bit pricier, starting at $7.15 for the Spicy Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich and $7.69 for the Grilled Honey Pepper Pimento Sandwich. You can also get the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich Meal, which also includes a choice of side and a drink for a suggested starting price of $10.49. Prices may vary.
Chick-fil-A’s Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich was originally tested in upstate South Carolina and the Asheville, North Carolina area back in September 2020.
The new Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich will be available at participating Chick-fil-A locations nationwide for a limited time, or while supplies last, beginning August 28, 2023.
